Relationship with McDonald's

The Ronald McDonald House Charities has been McDonald’s "charity of choice" for 35 years.
Ronald McDonald House Charities is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, not a corporate charity, but McDonald's is one of their corporate donors. Although less than 10% of the annual operating costs for Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth are graciously funded by our local McDonald's and owner/operators of local McDonald's restaurants, the majority of our annual operating income comes from the generosity of individual and corporate donors in our local community.
McDonald’s involvement extends beyond monetary support:
- Restaurant owners partner with local Chapters for promotional and fundraising events. A portion of the proceeds from these efforts benefit The Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth.
- McDonald’s employees are dedicated volunteers.
- Owner/operators participate in local and global RMHC boards.
- A portion of funds from the RMHC Donation Boxes hosted in restaurants contribute to the annual operating costs of the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth.
- In-restaurant sales of USA Today are all donated to RMHC.
- McDonald's conducts an annual fundraiser in November called McHappy Day. Since 2002, it has raised $150 million for RMHC and children's charities around the world.
Although McDonald’s is one of our corporate donors, no company can solely fund RMHFW programs and our projected growth. We need the support of the entire community and greatly value any support you can afford to RMHFW, whether it’s through cash donations, your time or fundraising efforts.
